how to calculate cost of project in .net

hi friends i want to calculate cost of one big project which is on electrical power house.
There is a device connected to pc using "RS232" cable, data is transferring & on one end of pc data is shown in graph & we want to calculate data in digital form. It is on c#.net then how to calculate development cost of this project. we have 2 months of time limit we feels it cost may be Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 90,000 what is your openion..

Solution 1

Since I have no idea:

what currency you use

what your pay rates are

how well or quickly you work

how well you know the subject

how many people you will have on the project

how much your facilities cost

how much your utilities cost

how much equipment you need to buy or construct

what taxes you must pay

what profit margin you expect to make

It would be fairly stupid to expect an answer.

actually sir, this is our 1st project, so we are totally unaware abt this issues..
currency is INR (Indian Rupees)
pay rates are near abt INR 500 per day
deadline of project is 2 months.
3 people will work on project.
facilities cost & utilities cost not decided yet.
9% of tax.
profit INR 30000-50000 for 3 people.

So, a little basic math:
2 months = 2 * 4.5 weeks = 2 * 4.5 * 5 days (assuming 5 day week)
2 * 4.5 * 5 * 500 = pay per day = 22500 per man, per day.
3 people @ 22500 per day = 67500
Now try figuring in the rest of the numbers, (or good guesses) and add a 10% (if you are all experienced) to 40% (if you have never done this before) budget for problems and you will get a rough cost for the project. Taxes, and profit go on top of that.
