Edit option in multiple nested grid view in vb.net

i have a requirement where i need to display data in multiple nested grid views upto 4 levels and provide edit option in all the rows of nested grid views.
I have to provide Expand/collapse functionality for display of data of nested grid views.
I am to display 5 levels of nested grid views but whenever Edit button is clicked, the expanded grids are getting collapsed and I am not able to implement Edit Functionality.
Any ideas on this functionality?

When you click on Eidt button, do you want to make all the nested grids in edit mode? also pls post your HTML code for more understanding....
