How to store data in sqlite (database) from webservice

I am developing an application where I need to store data from webservice(url)in sqlite (database). I have gone through many tutorials but most of them are very complicated as I have no prior experience in databases. My webservice contains data about events being organised, on the click of the button I want to add those data to my database and again show in listview. So please help me, any help will be greatly aapriciated.
