How much RAM needed to run Android app on desktop?

I have 1GB of RAM on my desktop but it is taking too much time. It is taking 2hours to run it.

Solution 2

2 GB is sufficient for Gingerbread simulators. But for honeycomb and ICS from 4GB- 8GB is necessary.

Hi,

First of all could you please let us know what are you actually trying to do?
Are you developing an Android app on your desktop?
If yes, then 1 GB of RAM is almost sufficient.You might wana upgrade it...:)
I guess you have customised your AVD having the highest configuration.
For ex:you might be running your app in Android 4.1 version AVD.
Create another AVD with a lower configuration, you might go with 2.1 or 2.2 with lower settings.Then it will less time to load.
I too have a 1 GB of RAM, the normal apps which I have done are working well with an AVD with Android 2.2....

Cheers
