Can vb6 application be migrated vb.net 2010 directly ? or it should be migrated to vb.net 2008 first ?

First, it sould be migrated to VB.NET 2008.

I have a VB6 windows Application in running condition.based on client server architecture.
I want to migrate this App to VB.Net framework using WCF.
What steps do I need to follow to start up.
