Without giving drive name find the folder randomly

I have a .exe file in my CD
Now I don't want to put drive name only I want to put the file name in my html page href attribute so If I click the link it will find the path and automatically it will start to run the .exe file.

Client side code, unless it is someting like ActiveX, cannot access the file system. If the html page is on the CD, then relative links will work.
