EC2 Instance Resizing needs backups,reinstall softwares and other stuff again?

Hi,

Do we need to reinstall software and other stuffs when we re-size the EC2 instance storage volume?

If I resize it from 1024 GB to 512 GB / 512GB to 1024 GB..
