how to improve performance of blob datatype in Oracle?

I am inserting 10k pdf at a time into Oracle table having BLOB column using servlet.

Then retrieving/searching pdf from table.

I want to improve performance of BLOB.

can anyone please help me out on it?

I feel you are screaming because you are screaming. Just as your use of txtspk is childish. The answer to your question is profile it. "working slow" is completely meaningless.

No worries, it is just considered yelling when you use all caps on the internet. I am sure you meant to show importance, but all caps is not the way.

Hi,

Have a loot at this presentation. The short answer is to involve your DBA and do some tuning activity. A well tuned server configuration should improve the performance. Although my suggestion will be to use a document management system instead of using BLOB's. RDBMS are definitely not meant to this.
