how to pass value from view to controller.

You can use following systax
View looks lik

@Html.ActionLink("Edit", "Edit", "StudentManager",new { id = item.StudentID }, null)

where "StudentManager" is controller name, "Edit" is Action, "id" is the parameter which i pass through querystring
