Play alert/sound under certain condition

Hi all,

I got a gridview in my webpage, one of the column in gridview store the status of machine.
When ny page detected status in column "status" has text = "End", it will start play the alert/sound until all the row inside the column change to "Start".

For play music part, i do it using <embed>. But i got problem to detected the column "Status".
Anyone can guide me how to go about this.
