Filter DGV with textbox change event

I have access db that are linked with a PK as first column in each table, tables are Family_Name, Parents, and Children. When I drag all of them from the FPC_dataset onto the form and debugg all I get is Family Name that filters the Parents but not the children. Is there a way to code the same type of filter with a textbox change event?
