how to extract url from curent open window in vb 6.0?

Heloo friends,

I am very new to vb 6.0.I am trying to extract url of current window but i am not getting it.

when i am clicking on download button ,immediately what i want is to extract that download url and save it to my database and then user may save/download that file and back to my software only.

rightnow what happening is when i click on download button then it asking me to download file then i lost control of my software..

If u have solution then please help me.

if you're trying to get the url from IE it may be better to just drag and drop it to the vb window, not sure how vb would know which browser windows to get it from...

Also, if you're just starting to learn to program, it may be better to jump into vb.net rather than vb6, vb6 is on it's way out....
