How to Completely Detach VHD file only using Safely Remove Hardware option

Hi,

I have a virtual harddisk file created using a backup software., i was able to attach the file in disk-management [2008 R2] to view the files., When i right clicked the disk management Disk# section, it does not show me, detach option, it just showed me up the offline option. I made the disk offline and detached it from safely remove hardware option.

Now the problem is, i am not able to delete the vhd file, that i detached. On viewing the process explorer it says that the system process is using the file handle. I cannot reboot my server as it is very crucial. Any Suggestions on how this can be done !
