Asp .net textbox with textmode set to multiline not accepting enter key

Hi all,

I have a user control contains a hyperlink, on click of a hyperlink a modal pop is displaying that contains some textboxes. There are some textboxes whose textmode is multiline.

The problem is when i enter data in a textbox whose textmode is multiline does not accept enter key when i want to enter text in multiline in internet explorer. The same works in firefox and chrome but not in Internet explorer all versions checked.
