finding hosted website

Hai Everybody,
Can anyone tell me how to find the hosted website files if we get host id,username,password.website files means the html files.My client gave me the host id,password,username and told me to retrieve data from their previous website. he also told me to host new website in this server.please help me.god bless you

Solution 1

You need to confirm the website where your client had host the website.

As you said you have username and password you can simply log in to the site, and there you need to find the http/ https folder under which the published files must be kept. You can easily download files from there.

Install Filezilla in your computer system and enter username and password that you have given. It will open all the files associated with this website along with .html file and every folder available in this website. Now, copy all the contents from filezilla and paste in your computer. Now, if you want to copy this data to new website, simple host a new website and add this data to that website. It will be done automatically.
