I was talking with an admin of another famous computer forum, he insists that windows is a perfect OS and windows never hangs because of its problem, must be something else like a bad driver. Do you agree? How about comparing Ubuntu kind of Linux with Windows, really more stable?

I think this can be an objective question with enough information from the crowd to tell.

Neither Linux nor Windows are perfect operative systems, of course. In my experience, Linux has been more stable than Windows. However, starting from NT, Windows stability has become better (my two cents).

so only the windows server has became more stable but not retail version like XP, wins 8?
That's like asking if apples are better than oranges. Apart from the fact that they are both operating systems, they are quite different in design and operation. I have had very few hangs in Windows, and a few in Linux over the past 20 years; but that proves nothing.
