1 solution

You simply need a Web hosting provider which supports Joomla. In turn, it will require that this provider use Apache and supported PHP and the database you use, that is, XAMPP would be fine, but not exactly required.

How you get all this, should be discussed with your provider. It everything is supported and set up, your site is supposed to work immediately. You will need to configure everything, notably your database. For this purpose, the provider usually provides you with one or another kind of control panel (typically, cPanel, Plesk, or the like):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_web_hosting_control_panels[^].

As Joomla is a key requirement, when it is supported, it is included in the major feature list of the hosting package. You need to perform your search and get all the detail: http://bit.ly/12WisJ4[^].

The criteria for selection of the hosting provider and package could be complex enough, so I want to recommend the most important one: try before you buy.
