greetings.

I want to start working on windows mobile apps but many sites I referred to say that for testing a windows 8 mobile app i need Win8 pro and SLAT supporting processor and I do not have any of these.

So I wanted to ask if it is necessary to build apps related to a particular version or is it possible to an app common to all platforms?

Solution 1

There is really no environment that works on all platforms. The closest you can come to this is with java.

do thw windows phone applications built with SDK 7.1 run on windows 8 phones?

The link http://dev.windowsphone.com/en-us/downloadsdk seems to suggest 7.0 and 7.5 devices. I am just relaying this info; I don't have a Windows phone. Google should be able to answer your questions about version matching...
