I am working on device autodiscovery for a given set of IP Addresses or IP Range or IP Subnet. I want to determine the end IP device type e.g. Windows Server,LINUX server , Router, Printer , Switch etc. along with it's make, model,mac address and serial number details. I am using SNMP to achieve this and able to get the make model etc details for Network devices(ROUTER And SWITCH) but am unable to find the make , model, macaddress for windows and linux servers using SNMP. Please help me.
