Data missing in Database table.

Dear Friends,

I have SQL Server 2008 R2 installed on my machine. I have a database back up file of my existing database which was created on same SQL server. But when i create new database and try to restore my .bak file. It get restored successfully but, when i opens the table through management studio.

It never shows the data. But when i check the physical file size it almost approximately equal to the given .bak file.

Can anyone help in this issue.

Do you use SELECT to "opens the table"?

no i have checked the table through SQL Server management studio.
