Implementing notification feature like facebook in asp.net site

I want to implement notificatoin window like facebook when user logins to the website he can view notifications.
Plz help to implement this feature suggest some solutions.

There are so many third party too available to accomplish this functionlity. But before that you need to specify wht is your need.
