Custom System calls in Linux

I am trying to add a custom system call to linux-3.11.1 kernel version and I have heard that the procedure is different for older versions i.e uptill 3.3.Most of the tutorials use older kernel versions.So can anyone provide me any link to a tutorial which uses newer kernel versions or explain it themselves.

I posted this question there as well but it isn't getting any answers.I don't understand why this isn't supposed to be a hot question??

It's only hot to the people who may be interested in the subject, and they mostly hang out in the Linux forums. And since CodeProject is predominently about Windows programming, you are not likely to get much response here.
