Why few datatypes are not supported by .dbml file?

I have installed adventurework 2012 database into sqlserver 2012 , and in my vs 2012 inside .dbml file i was trying to drag and drop few tables... but it gives me the error saying few data types are not supported by design file.. , i figure our those datatypes.. that includes smallint , hirechicalid and so .. why these are not working .. how to make it this data type worakable

What is "hirechicalid": "Hire chic, Alid"? or something else? :-)
