Timeout while adding a WebService Reference in Visual studio 2005 after upgrading to XP from Windows 2000

I get a Timeout error when trying to add a web reference using "Add Web Reference" dialog box. It is showing all the web methods but the "Add Reference" button is disabled with an error "There was an error downloading 'http://IPADDRESS/XXXXX/XXX.asmx'. The Operation has timed out". This issue is only after upgrading Windows 2000 Operating System to Windows XP SP2

The same URL is displaying content when requested for WSDL and accessible via Internet explorer
