Unfortunately, the count of this nature questions is growing to the infinity this year ;(

If you look here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143432(v=sql.105).aspx[^] Microsoft publish the limits for each version of SQL Server. In all cases, the maximum row count is "dependant on available storage", there is no built in restriction on the number you can have, regardless of the column count.

Be aware though that SQL server is limited to a total database size of only 524,272 terabytes, which may prove a significant problem if you are trying to backup the whole of Google...
