Data Replication to the Browser

Hi,

We've got a project coming up that will require us to replicate data from a server, across the internet to ideally a browser, or if not, an in process .Net database.

SQL is our current data store. Using merge replication is not an option without significant database redesign.

Can anyone provide me we example technologies which work in a similar way to SQL transactional replication? But can replicate to a browser on an alternate in process database.
