Solution 1

You would create it the same way as you would with SharePoint 2007.

It is not necessary to have SharePoint installed to create a webpart for it. Reference the assemblies, like any other project.

Hello,

Step1:Pls check Sharepoint as a default Template.(In professional version you can find this)

Go to File--New--> Project-->Check for Sharepoint.

If not you need to install the Sharepoint Template.

Step2:

*Go to File
*New-->
*Project-->
*Installed Templates-->
*Sharepoint -->
*Sharepoint 2010 VisualWebPart
*Click OK
