How to get tweets without chosen words?

Hello!

I use twitCurl library for my MFC application.
https://code.google.com/p/twitcurl/

I have a trouble when I have to get tweets without chosen words. For example if I chose word "Tom", I do not want to get tweets that contains word "Tom". Is it possible to do it with twitCurl? If I would do it on my side app, I can't start searching tweets from last got tweet.
