How to consume protected web services in iOS app?

I am trying to consume web service in iOS app which is protected by siteminder, but here i do not have any idea about how to consume protected web service, no idea how to pass credential inside request or soap message, either is it possible with soap or i can only do it with rest.. please provide some solution on it.
