How are boolean types and dates specified in ADO and in SQL Server?

Does one specify 1 or 0 ; or true or false -> for the boolean types.
For dates does one use the format dd/mm/yyyy or what?

Check this out: SQL Server Data Type Mappings[^]
In SQL Server:
DATE - format YYYY-MM-DD
DATETIME - format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS
SMALLDATETIME - format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS
TIMESTAMP - format: a unique number
