Send message from winform to service

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.

I am trying have a service that can receive messages / events from a winform and record them in an sql database.

I can do the sql and winform but have no idea on how the wife service is constructed or how to communicate with the service from the win form.
