Getting Empty string when reading a string after reading a set of numeral values from an Excel sheet in asp .net

Hii Dears

When ever I am reading an excel sheet in my asp .net application I got some problem.
The excel sheet contains both numbers and Letters in same column.(eg: 123.65, 234, V45.09, ...)
When ever I try to read the value like V45.09 after reading a set of numeral values ( 123.65, 234, ...) I got empty string instead of geting the correct value like V45.09.... but if I put the value V45.09 in the first row of the excelsheet I am able to read the value V45.09 and all other values..
could you please give me any solution for this problem..
