find id of clicked tag within li using jQuery

im trying to get the id of the tag using jquery then show the hidden div based on which one was clicked, but it doesnt want to fire the click method from within the list. my code is below. thanks in advance

	            $(k).removeClass('hidden');

Here is the solution

use

JavaScript

$('ul#myList li a')

instead of

JavaScript

$('.myList li a')

As '.' is used for class selector and '#' for Id selector

Solution 1

Try changing your ID's to remove the periods.
I'm aware that jQuery sometimes has issues with ID's containing periods.
