I want to make a test conducting desktop application and I want to restrict him to open any other application once he starts the test.

Is there any way or method through which once test is tarted , user can not move to any other application or start any other application for that particular time.

If, Yes, what are the things that needs to be restricted.

It is remotely possible, but the whole idea is bad. This is not how OS is designed.

hmmm...

1 solution

Please see this article: http://sysadministrivia.blogspot.com/2012/05/creating-kiosk-machine-with-windows-7.html[^].

It explains how to boot the whole OS into IE and make it running in Kiosk Mode and disable Task Manager. This way, you can create a Kiosk machine and run it. I know this is not what you want. Additionally, you have to execute your test from the Web page (local, of course), using ActiveX control how by IE and built to execute your test.

I know, this would be really ugly. But this is because your whole idea is not so good. This is not how OS is designed.
