Hello together
I try to install a USB device which is using "usbser.sys" from ms. Installation will be done with an custom ".inf". Until W7 everything worked fine, but with W8.1 installation gives the error message something like "driver not signed".

Why (the hell) an already preinstalled driver ("usbser.sys") needs to be signed?

N.B: I know it is possible to install it when I "Disable Driver Signature".

Thanks for explanations.
Regards, Bruno

This forum is for programming related questions, you should probably ask this question elsewhere.

Oh then one has to remove some possible tags for questions :)

To be serious: I face this problem as a programmer who has also to deliver a setup for its software and from my point of view this question fits this forum. This because only writing a software and neglect the distribution problem is not the praxis ;)
