Java Version Change After I install

I really don't understand why java version is changed. I install jave(TM) 7 but when i go to cmd and java -version. my version only 1.7.0.60.it make my app can not find Java JRE7. can anyone tell me about this problem? thank in advanced!

That is correct, Java 1.7 is Java version 7. The jre files are in the Java directory under "C:\Program Files" or "C:\Program Files (x86)" depending on your version of Windows.

but when i use app 'geeksnow'.this app show the message 'it seem don't have Java JRE7 in your computer', but I had install and can find it at "C:\Program Files\java\jre7". I don't know why it show the message like this. I try to search at google a few day ago, but can not find the answer.can you tell me about this problem? thank in advanced....
