Difficult to say - the law changes from country to country, so you need to talk to someone in your own jurisdiction about that. What's legal in India may not be in the UK, vice versa.

My feeling would be: Only if I had permission in advance from the previous companies. I have similar difficulties: what projects do I discuss - even fleetingly - with prospective customers? Some I can't, because I am specifically bound by legislation not to discuss them with anybody who hasn't signed the same bits of paper, others I can't talk about because of NDAs. The others, I talk to the client that paid for them and if they have no objections then fine. Otherwise my rule is "No".

Certainly as a customer, I don't want people who have developed stuff for me (and I farm out hardware design) talking to just anybody about it: it could be a competitor they discuss the details with! So I will (and have) agreed, but generally place some restrictions on what can and can't be mentioned or used.
