how to generate test paths from UML diagrams

I've been assigned a project to generate test paths from different UML diagrams. I've solved the program for some extent that is I have exported xmi file from the uml software and had parsed the xmi tags in the file using python code now is it possible to use the parsing python program to generate test paths.please give me suggestions how to solve this problem.

Can you please elaborate on what exactly you mean by "generate test paths" from UML? Before you let your tool do something, tell us how you would do it manually.

We have no information on your diagramming code. Apparently, the problem of text generation is way to simple compared to diagramming itself. That leads me to suggestion that this diagramming product is not yours, you are using a product obtained from some other party; so, why not asking them to help you.

Unclear. What do you mean by test path? What are the properties of the data you want to generate it from? What are the properties of the UML model you started with? What are the properties of the tests you defined in the UML model?

This doesn't sound like a question that can or should be answered in this section, even if you provide all the missing information. You should start to write a program and only return here when you have a specific question to ask!
