Can someone kindly give me some guidiance on how to to Word 2010 kind of toolbar in my mfc app?


All along,I have been using word 2003 style oc toolbar but I wish to progress to using Word 2010 style now.The problem is I don't even know what to call the toolbar.Is it the tabs on d toolbar or the arear where the icons are placed.

In short I need understanding of word 2010 style of toolbar and programming of word 2010 style of toolbar.

That awful thing is called a "ribbon"

If you content yourself with Office 2007 then have a look at CMFCRibbonBar Class[^].

Pls why did u use d phrase "Content urself". If there is somethg better kindly introduce me to(tell me about ) it.

Because you asked specifically for Office 2010, I don't know if the CMFCRibbonBar does fit your needs. On the other hand, no, I don't know anything more suitable.
Possibly you could search for a third-party library implementing the Ribbon.
