How to take a capture of a camera which Is connected to a DVR?

Hello;

I need to create an application which can take an image capture from a video of a camera which Is connected to a DVR. (Ex: when I click on a specific btn an image should be saved to my client computer, that Image should be taken from a specific camera and this last one Is related to a DVR)

Would you please help me to do this? I have tried to do research but with no success..

Not clear. You camera should be connected to a computer... :-)

It should not, as Dave Kreskowiak mentioned bellow, I had to look for the SDK of the DVR so I can have the access to the wanted camera. However, there Is another option, which Is having an IP Camera.

Just to make It clearer to you, the solution I need Is for surveillance devices.

Hope now It Is obvious to you. AND thanks for sharing me the answer. :)

If it is not connected to a computer, what is connected to it? "Nothing" would make the question off-topic. :-)

Solution 1

Without knowing anything at all about your DVR, its capabilities, whether you have an SDK for it, documentation, ANYTHING AT ALL about the hardware it's IMPOSSIBLE to tell you what you have to do, other than more research.
