Hello,
I've been searching high and low and recently found this link ( http://www.codeproject.com/Questions/550533/howplustoplushideplus-ParameterplusValuepluswind ) where it appears to be the 'solution.'
Our company is using Crystal Enterprise ver 10 and for some of our reports ( ~ 50 to 100), we have Stored Procedures which checks for the 'VUSERNAME' (this is the Security Group that the user belongs to) and if they belong to a certain group, they are allowed to view only that group's data (which will display for that group only).
This value is then passed to the VUSERNAME parameter automatically in Crystal. User has no option to change/choose. It works well for the reports that were designed this way.
Now, if you take this same report though and try to run it on BOE Xi 3.1 or BOBJ 4.x, the hidden value is no longer hidden despite using the exact same Stored Procedure/Database. One has to manually enter the security group name which defeats the purpose of the report.
The CE10 was customized many moons ago. My question is this: how do we view this code in CE10 so that I can deploy this for BOE Xi 3.1 or BOBJ 4.x?
thanks!
