Sharepoint 2007 - Error updating a list item

I am facing an issue with SharePoint-2007 Workflow. I did tried several things to resolve but no luck so far. I have a List which has several fields including few Lookup fields. It works good but some times Workflow gives error - "Error updating a list item".

If I open Workflow and re-submit it without changes, then it again starts working good.

Any inputs will be helpful.
