Synchronize you profile with linked-in

Hello All,

I want to start a functionality in which i give a option "Synchronize you profile with linked-in".

So, there are many method to fetch the profile information of particular user ex Javascript API,OAuth but i am not sure which one is best according to the point of security.

Will you please help me to take the decision for choosing which method i use.

Linkedin supports both javascript and oAuth
