Searching a listView with editText without filtering items like android Cambridge Dictionary

I want to provide a search capability in my android app that after typing in editText, just goes to the word item in the list with the first letter without filtering any item. For Example if the word begins with -b- letter, listview just goes to the item with the best match. Like something in below picture from Cambridge Dictionary ( But I don't want to use database!!! Just going to specific item in the list by typing.):

But other items are also active, as when we scroll up the listView we see words like:

.azure .azuki .AZT . and ...

that are upper than words that begins with -b- . Please help with this. Thanks in advance.
