how to pass value from chrome extention to my vb.net app

hi to all
what i'm trying to do is to create download manger that handles download from Google chrome so i made chrome extension that catch the download link and i want to send it to my vb.net app to download the file . so i want to know how to pass variable from chrome extension to windows from application vb.net and thank you.
