how to work paging in webgrid

in a view a take a partial view and this partial view have a webgrid the controller method name is index when i click on paging of this grid it's working correct. and view view have also a search textbox and a button when i search a record the controller method search() called and search working correct but now i clitck on paging part controller method search?txtSearch page=2 display the layout not display because it's a partial view but i want to display a layout on filter work on index controller method
