When I browse the application in google crome like http://localhost:88/ then it works. But when I browse

What 'priduction' is? You may point to a non-existing folder/page?

Create virtual directory for your published folder and convert it to application in IIS (right click on the folder to see convert to application) then go to manage application and set valid application pool in advance settings.

I don't think it is necessary to set port number !!
