hello, have developed using visual studio 2010 c# a plugin for outlook 2010 ,and now i need to distribute this plugin to other users , a found that the click once method in publishing is the best since i need the plugin to do automatic updates , but i found that it must be signed first with a certificate , is it necessary to buy a certificate? and if so do you know any trusted sites that sells those certificates? what what happens if this certificate got expired?

Thank You in Advance

Buying a certificate requires that you publish with the same Login that you have purchased the license on. General publishings don't really require certificate signing. You can check the signing box off. Also, you can "renew" your existing certificate and just give it a longer expiry date.
