WiFi Module Without TCP/IP

Hi All,

I want to have a single chip wifi solution without any tcp/ip stack on it, as we intend to develop the communication on our own for some R&D project along with some other micro controllers. We expect the wifi module to only give out the signal strength and the id information by itself when turned on like any other wifi access point. Is such a wifi module available. Kindly suggest.
