Best file format and file size for toolbar

Hi,

In C#.Net toolbar, i have to add images. Which is the best file format and file size to choose so that image looks nice in toolbar.

the tool items are 23 * 22 in size. and i have images with 16 * 16, 24 * 24, 32 * 32, 48 * 48 in sizes. and also i have .ico files as well. which one to choose?

Solution 1

I think the best image size for the menu-strip is 16x16. The best file format for this is png file. That way we can have the transparent background for the images.
